Life in The Guards Depot
Look behind the walls of the Guards Depots at Caterham and Pirbright. These now vanished camps were a ‘Guards World’, tasked with taking new recruits and turning them into Guardsmen. Our exhibition looks at Life in the Depots- what was accommodation like, where did the soldiers train and who else lived there.
VE Day 80th Anniversary
80 years ago the Nation celebrated the end of the Second World War- in Europe and the Far East. The Guards had fought in every major campaign in Europe and on 8th May 1945 they were spread out all across Europe. Find out how where they were and how they celebrated the end of the war.
